Silvio Berlusconi, former Italian Prime Minister linked to the P2 Masonic Lodge terror cell and other false-flag operations, is apparetly now using his media empire to attack researchers into 9/11. From Il Giornale 15 novembre 2007:

Quest’estate ha lanciato il cosiddetto «Allarme di Kennebunkport», annunciando a breve un altro attentato in stile 11 settembre organizzato dal governo americano e distribuendo un manifesto firmato da alcuni dei più noti critici della guerra in Irak: quattro dei quali, però, hanno negato di avervi mai apposto la loro firma.

La quarta di copertina del suo libro negli Stati Uniti riporta i giudizi favorevoli di personaggi considerati «lunatici» anche da molti negazionisti come Nico Haupt, secondo il quale nessun aereo ha colpito le Torri Gemelle ma si è trattato di un astuto videomontaggio, e Gerhard Wisnewski, autore di due libri dove sostiene che anche lo sbarco sulla Luna è stato soltanto un trucco video («lunatici», appunto).

Tonight's History Channel program on 9/11 Conspiracies - Fact or Fiction shows how powerful our movement has become, and how contemptible our opposition is. The deck was stacked, the animations were distorted and fantastic, and the framework was rather nasty, but this was of course NBC News, read GE, which is now a hedge fund in drag. And even NBC News, often the slimiest of the networks, has been forced to pretend to refute numerous factual criticisms of the official story, one by one. I say pretend because most of the refutations were simply blanket denials, with no facts or reasoning beyond mere assertions that the 9/11 truth theses are not true, offend the families, are disgusting, or "corrosive," and other meaningless verbiage. Some of the attempts at substantive refutation involved dodges and subterfuges that seemed new, at least to me. It sounded like one of their pseudo-experts was arguing that the wings of the alleged airplane at the Pentagon had broken off through hitting objects on the Pentagon lawn. If that was so, where are the wings and the jet engines on that pristine Pentalawn? This pitiful construct is self-contradictory and destroys itself. We also heard that building 7 was hollow at the base, quite an achievement under the New York City building code. The bottom of building 7 was, we now discover, an amphitheater, with no support columns, but only trusses! I guess if your argument is ruptured, then you need a truss. Another pseudo-expert thought that a commercial aircraft could transform itself into an artillery shell or tank round and punch through the Pentagon rings that way, despite the obvious difficulty. CIA man Michael Scheuer says all the evidence points to al Qaeda, but where is all that evidence, Mike? There was none in this program, to be sure. Otherwise, Mike was reduced to some pitiful whining that there are too decent patriotic people in the CIA - a moot point.

Some of the little people had obviously been leaned on to get them to change their testimony. But that was done with a nominalist stupidity worthy of William of Okham, the dumbest philosopher of the late Middle Ages. The wretched New York TV reporter had to say that he had reported secondary explosions, but not bombs. What precisely is the difference, when heard from afar? The poor Shanksville coroner had said that after a few minutes at the crash site, he had stopped being a coroner because there were no bodies. Now he says that he meant that he became an undertaker. Again, what is the distinction he is driving at? Where there bodies yes or no?

Most of the refutations were weak, fishy, lame, and unconvincing. In particular, any time they have to bring on Chip Berlet, that well-known gutter-dwelling character assassin and mercenary of the foundations, you know they are in big trouble, and he was quite prominent. I believe strongly in the victory of reality over fabrication and lies, and I suspect that this was the response of many viewers tonight. If we had a focus group, we could be sure, but I think more 9/11 came into the world than there were doubters who fell back into the official version based on this program.

But look at all the important factual material they had to present. The viewers got to see the squibs coming out of the twin towers. They got to see building 7 coming down, with ample comparisons to controlled demolition cases. They got to hear and see the infamous Silverstein. They got to see the singed hole in the internal rings of the Pentagon. They got to see the Shanksville crater. They got to hear about false flag operations from a chorus of authoritative voices, and for that there was no refutation. They also got a good source list for further research: Loose Change was prominent, as were Alex Jones and 9/11 Mysteries. Thierry Meyssan, the founder of our worldwide movement, got more recognition tonight than he has ever received in this country, and it is about time - his book the Big Lie is and remains a classic. They go to know David Ray Griffin, Bob Bowman, Jim Fetzer and many more. There was even a plug for my own 9/11 Synthetic Terror. Any serious, intelligent person - and there still are some - knows exactly where to go to find out more, and that can only be a big plus.

I have seen real raving slanders from NBC News, and they look different. Slanders are a relentless barrage of terms like Nazi, communist, SS, anti-semite, racist, white supremacist, Ku Klux Klan, and so forth, with no substance at all. There were only a few intervals when things began to get ugly in that way, and I do not think they convinced anybody.

Most revealing of the moral bankruptcy, intellectual cowardice, and overall weakness of the NBC spin machine were the themes they left out completely. Most glaring was that, even though he was allowed a couple of brief comments, literally all of Professor Steven Jones' work on thermite-thermate as the key to the controlled demolition of the twin towers was completely ignored. They seem to have concluded that refuting this would be a hopeless task.

They also avoided the most critical pieces of political evidence. There was not a word about the crucial "Angel is next" message accompanied by an array of top-secret code words received by the Secret Service, which is the one documented instance during the day when the invisible government-rogue network, the authors of the coup, actually came out of the shadows and spoke. Then, there was not one mention of the twenty-five plus (25 plus !!!) drills, exercises, and maneuvers which were either in progress on 9/11, had recently been concluded, or were in advanced stages of planning. Viewers who know 9/11 only through this program would not know that there was a single drill going on, even though the Kean-Hamilton commission did talk about Amalgam Virgo, at least during the hearings, and Vanity Fair last summer did acknowledge that some air drills were going on. There was discussion about the pros and cons of cell phone calls, but not a mention of the August 2001 drill at the Department of Transportation that had a scenario of a hijacked aircraft with cell phone calls coming in. Similarly, the program was much concerned with the intrinsically weak thesis of a stand-down, without once delving into the dozen or so Air Force drills that were ongoing and that really do explain the lack of air defense - along with the activities of a certain Colonel Marr. In my dealings with the NBC producer and his team, I went out of my way to stress these two points - "Angel is next" and the 25+ drills. At the Austin conference where much of this material was taped, I made an entire speech on "Angel is next," Bush's movements on 9/11, and the drills. But not a word got through. Several speakers, myself included, also pounded them as much as possible about the question of the NEW 9/11 and the looming war with Iran. At rally at the University of Texas tower, we already had the report about Cheney saying on Face the Nation that morning that his main fear was not of terrorist armed not with airline tickets and box cutters, but of a nuclear bomb in a US city. But the NBC people were not interested in that one, either.

The NBC program also tended to allege that the 9/11 truth movement sees Bush and Cheney as the prime movers and directors of 9/11 - an absurd thesis. Bush is a moron, and Cheney is a moribund old drunk with four heart attacks, quadruple bypass surgery, and a pacemaker that has to be serviced every couple of years. I tried to make the NBC people understand the idea of an invisible government much older than Bush and Cheney, going back in the present form at least to 1895, when J.P. Morgan forced President Grover Cleveland to knuckle and under and give Morgan and London total control over the US public debt. NBC was not having any of that, either.

I would urge people in the movement to ponder why specifically these themes were so totally excluded from a broadcast which was otherwise reasonably wide-ranging. I would argue that our oligarchical enemies in the invisible government are very much afraid of issues like the Jones thermite-thermate thesis, "Angel is next," Bush's movements on 9/11, the 25+ drills of 9/11, and the new 9/11. They do not much like to hear the invisible government itself talked about, either. Based on this, I would appeal to the 9/11 truth movement as a whole to redouble its attacks on precisely these themes to maximize the damage to the myth-mongers. Hammer them home mercilessly, for their power is enormous. We need to focus on the best scientific-technical evidence, and the best political evidence, as represented by these issues.

Part of the genius of the 9/11 truth movement is our ability to make even the financier-controlled media spread our ideas and work for us. Despite the worst intentions of NBC News, I would say that this is what they have accomplished. They have kept 9/11 truth research in the public eye. There is an old Broadway saying - "A knock is a boost." In other words, if we are so obscure and so crazy, why do we merit any attention at all? Or, as the Roman put it - "Bona fama, mala fama, semper fama" - good fame, bad fame, it's all fame, and we'll take it - the wisdom of the ancients.

Two-hour documentaries are not cheap and need to get some ratings. Clearly we are not so obscure as NBC News would have us believe. In fact, if we can hold off the new 9/11 for a few more months, 2007 may turn out to be our finest hour.

"PEACE MOVEMENT MUST MAKE 9/11 TRUTH THE LEADING EDGE OF FIGHT AGAINST IRAQ-IRAN-SYRIA WAR

The escalation announced in Bush's January 10 television speech was much bigger than many expected: the threats he made against Iran and Syria threaten a wider US aggression, quite possibly carried out with nuclear weapons. In addition to his 21,000 extra GIS, Bush is sending an additional carrier battle group and Patriot missiles to the Gulf. Admiral Fallon, the new Centcom commander, is a carrier admiral trained in air attacks, not land warfare. John "Death Squads" Negroponte, Rice's new deputy at the State Department, is said to be assembling a team of private contractors to prepare the attack on Iran. Russian intelligence reports indicate that there are four US missile-fi ring submarines in the Gulf. The London Sunday Times says that the Israeli air force is actively drilling for a sneak attack on Iranian military facilities at Natanz, Isfahan, and Bushehr. The ING international banking group is telling its clients that the Israelis may attack Iran in February or March. February 17 or March 18, the preferred sneak attack times of the new moon, may thus mark the beginning of a regional Middle East war, a war tending to slide into World War III.

THE 9/11 MYTH IS THE EXPLICIT BASIS OF ALL THE WARS

Bush's bedrock motivation for this pattern of lunatic escalation is the racist, militarist, and fascist offi cial explanation of the events of September 11, 2001, especially as codifi ed in the discredited Kean-Hamilton 9/11 commission report.

The premise of Bush's argument in his escalation speech is this: "On September the 11th, 2001, we saw what a refuge for extremists on the other side of the world could bring to the streets of our own cities. For the safety of our people, America must succeed in Iraq." A few days later, Dick Cheney evoked the offi cial nightmare vision of 9/11 in when he told an interviewer that legislators who want to cut the funding for the Iraq adventure are playing into the hands of Bin Laden and al Qaeda.Senator Lieberman, the most extreme Democratic warmonger, cited the offi cial 9/11 myth not once but twice when he appeared on Meet the Press the Sunday after Bush's speech. On the day after Bush spoke, fascist talk show host Rush Limbaugh spouted a lengthy tirade about 9/11 and the 3,000 dead – a sure indication that these themes were mandated by the notorious Karl Rove faxes, which are known to go out to the leading right wing extremists of the airwaves.

Peace activists often ask why the 9/11 truth movement insists on making the truth about terrorist a central component of anti-war agitation. One answer is that we bring up 9/11 frequently because Bush and Cheney do – they incessantly parrot slogans about the "global war on terror" and "the lessons of 9/11." Bush claims that he is fi ghting terrorists in Iraq so that the US will not have to fi ght them over here. He raves that, if US forces pull out of Iraq, the terrorists will follow them back home and launch attacks on US territory. There can be no doubt that 9/11 is the foundation of Bush's castle of warmonger lying – the fountainhead, motivation, and legitimation of the entire policy of unilateral aggression. To ignore the centrality of 9/11 to Bush's every move is like trying to fight Hitler without mentioning anti-Semitism.

Attacks on Bush that do not include 9/11 truth are simply impotent, and will not be effective.

THE AMERICAN PEOPLE REPUDIATE THE OFFICIAL MYTH OF 9/11

The vast majority of the American people have repudiated Bush's demagogy of war and terror. Back in October, a CBS-New York Times poll showed that 81% of Americans – including the most benighted and backward Republican strongholds – thought that the US government was either hiding something or mostly lying about the events of 9/11. This extraordinary shift in public opinion refl ects the success of the 9/11 truth movement over the past five years. This shift explains why the Bush-Rove demagogy of terror, which had traction in 2002 and 2004, simply did not work in 2006. It was only under these conditions that the Republican machine could be defeated. In this broad sense, the 9/11 truth movement was a critical component in creating the climate of opinion for Bush's defeat at the polls in November 2006. The challenge is now to bring US institutions – the political parties, the media, academia, etc. – into line with what the American people have already understood.

9/11: THE KEY TO DISMANTLING BUSH'S BASE OF SUPPORT

Only 12% of Americans support a surge in the abstract, but once Bush is brought into the question, support rises to almost one third – about 31%. Many of these are persons who are sincerely terrified by the notion of al Qaeda and Bin Laden as malevolent forces that want to come to their communities and kill them. Unless and until this belief can be challenged, these persons will continue to support Bush and his promises to protect them from the terrorists. (We note in passing that these persons have been shamefully betrayed by the leading left-liberal intellectuals, including Noam Chomsky, Amy Goodman of Democracy Now, and The Nation magazine, all of whom obsessively parrot the Bush propaganda line.) These persons are largely impervious to antiwar and related arguments about genocide, torture at Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib, illegal rendition, wiretapping, surveillance, police-state totalitarianism, and related issues, which they dismiss with the comment that these are the necessities of self-defense forced upon the United States by an unprovoked attack by foreign terrorists. The only way to attrit and erode Bush's hard-core base of support is to bring home the leading facts of 9/11 truth: the 9/11 attacks did not emerge from the world of Bin Laden, Atta, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the laptop, and the cave in Pushtunistan; they were a deliberate war provocation and coup d'etat launched by the invisible government or rogue network which infests the highest levels the Pentagon,

CIA, NSA, DIA, and other military and security agencies, all for the purpose of starting the War of Civilizations in Afghanistan, Iraq, and now Syria and Iran. These are revelations of the greatest explosive power, capable of tearing apart Bush's political base and opening the way for impeachment and removal from office. They are also capable of defeating the Hillary Clinton-Lieberman- Rahm Emmanuel- Lantos-Stenny Hoyer warmonger wing of the Democratic Party, removing the sabotage of impeachment from that quarter.

IMPEACH BUSH-CHENEY FOR 9/11 CRIMES

To override Bush's vetoes of bills defunding the Iraq war will require a two thirds majority of both houses of Congress. Impeachment takes only a majority of the House, but requires two thirds of the Senate. Bush can be declared mentally unfi t for offi ce by reason of insanity by half of the cabinet under the XXV Amendment, but it takes two thirds of both houses to make this stick if Bush protests that he is not insane. As long as Bush can retain 30% support, heavily concentrated in a handful of rural red states, he may be able to keep a block of senators suffi cient to stay in office and wage war indefi nitely. The only issue capable of cutting into Bush's 30% support is unquestionably 9/11. The peace movement must demand a bill of impeachment for Bush, Cheney, Rice, Gonzalez, and others which includes 9/11 crimes – starting from the very strong prima facie case for misprision of treason, plus covering up for the CIA-DoD rogue network after the fact. It is therefore imperative that the peace movement fully assimilate the main points of 9/11 truth – points which are easily available in a series of books and internet web sites. Only in this way can peace agitation hope to obtain the necessary result – the removal of Bush-Cheney from offi ce and the end of the Afghan, Iraqi, Somali, and any and all other US wars of imperialism, colonialism, and aggression.

KEAN-HAMILTON: A TISSUE OF LIES AND FABRICATIONS

The Kean-Hamilton report can easily be shown to be a tissue of lies and fabrications, and this can be done with facts that are offi cially acknowledged by the corporate media. The 9/11 commission covered up revelations about Able Danger, a US military intelligence operation that tracked the accused 9/11 patsies – most probably because it was supervising their movements. The 9/11 commission failed to discover a key June 2001 emergency meeting requested by CIA Director Tenet with NSC Director Rice. Most damning, Kean and Hamilton admit in their own jointly authored book that they were well aware that Pentagon and NORAD generals were committing perjury before the commission, but decided to do nothing about it. Ms. Pelosi's fanatical devotion to the 9/11 commission is thus a grave symptom of impotence and capitulation on the part of the new Democratic House leadership.

As for presidential candidates, Giuliani is most identified with 9/11, followed by McCain in one sense, and the warmonger Hillary Clinton in another. Activists are now creating 9/11 truth squads to pose the necessary questions to presidential candidates in the upcoming primary season, and the peace movement is invited to join in.
